The Milwaukee Paranormal Conference is a small staff of people who are passionate about making the event happen. We very much rely on volunteer help. Here’s a list of some specific things we need, but we will add more as we realize we missed stuff. Volunteers get a discount on shirts and we are going to organize a volunteer party in October. We appreciate you and if you’re interested, email milwaukeeparacon@gmail.com and we will add you to the list. Let us know if one of the positions is right for you or if you’re open to anything.
Friday, September 24, Paranormal Party @ Faklandia
-Ghost story tellers! Participate in the Ghost Story Open Mic. Sign up for 5 minutes of stage time to share your experience or a story you’ve heard that you love. Sign up at 7pm, Faklandia Brewing.
Saturday, September 25, Milwaukee Paranormal Conference @ Alverno College
-Kite flyer(s)- we need a person or two to fly a kite 9:30-10:30 or 11am outside the conference front doors. This is not a joke.
-Sign dancers- want to dress as a cryptid and do a spinny sign dance? We’d love it. Or someone to help put directional signs up around campus– last year we did it at Alverno people requested this as they got lost.
-Front desk- 2 people for each 2 hour shifts. 10-Noon, Noon to 2, 2 to 4. 6-8 volunteers total. Help sell merch and answer questions.
-Vendors load in– 9-10am. We like to offer people a helping hand if we can. Having a few people to help vendors carry stuff to load in at 9am is something we’d like to offer.
-Hall Monitors– ha, ha for lack of a better term. We just want some people to take a shift walking around making sure everything is alright.
-Yoga point person, need someone to enjoy yoga at Forest Home Cemetery, check in people as they arrive, maybe take a couple pictures. 10AM Event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/3011372975808429
One thing that separates Milwaukee Paranormal Conference from some of your other run-of-the-mill, dusty conferences is that we’ve strived since year one to make it an event of not just paranormal themed talks, but also a celebration of local arts, crafts, authors, and musicians.
This year we have an excellent line-up of 33 vendors for our event Sept. 25 at Alverno College’s Bucyrus Center. It’s a really good mix of familiar faces and people brand new to the conference, including organizations, artists, authors, businesses and more. The conference runs 10am-5pm on September 25. It’s a free event, you just need to get your tickets by registering here: milwaukeeparacon.com/registration
The Witches Faire is part of our Milwaukee Paranormal Conference Activities Day line-up and is the centerpiece of the day. It’s happening 1-6pm (followed by a ritual at 7pm) at Faklandia Brewing (3807 S. Packard Ave., Saint Francis). This event is perfect for those interested in witchcraft and will feature workshops, vendors, a musical performance, and great food and drink from Faklandia. Admission is free!

Hello, paranormal fans! As a girl once said, “they’re baaaaaaack!” We had an online only conference last year (pandemic!) and are glad to say we are returning with an in-person event this fall (we will also be broadcasting some of it online for paranormal fans around the world).
The Milwaukee Paranormal Conference was founded in 2015 by author Tea Krulos. The vision has always been to provide fascinating guest speakers, panels, documentaries, and activities related to paranormal investigation, Ufology, cryptozoology, folklore, and all things strange and eerie. It is also an event that celebrates local artists, crafters, musicians, and businesses. It is informative, a great chance to meet people with similar interests, and we also try to make it a helluva fun time.
Our presenting sponsor this year is American Ghost Walks, which offers walking ghost tours in Milwaukee, Chicago, throughout the Midwest and beyond.
Please note this event is put together by a small band of merry, hardworking volunteers who are all always busy with a million things, so be patient! Below is a list of events, speakers, and vendors. It isn’t complete, because some details are still being worked out, but this will give an idea of some of the events and people who will be there. We will be updating this post with times and ticket links as we get them.
Our logo this year was created by Milwaukee artist Estephanie Mendoza

Milwaukee Krampusnacht 2019 is coming up soon! There’s so many cool things to do this year, we thought we’d guide you through some os it with this handy list.
(1) Volunteer! Our awesome volunteers are the ones who make this event fun for everyone. Most volunteer shifts are only an hour or hour and half, so you won’t miss much. Plus you get free admission for yourself and a guest. You just need to fill out this form: CLICK HERE
(2) Make a costume. The American Science & Surplus Krampus Parade happens at 8pm. We welcome Krampus and other holiday folklore characters. Last year we were ecstatic to see many people wore Krampus or holiday inspired clothing/horns/costumes. Not mandatory, but definitely encouraged! If you want to join in the parade, registration is open until Dec.1 here: https://milwaukeeparacon.com/2019/10/07/milwaukee-krampus-parade-2019-registration

(3) Drink a Bells & Chains. How cool is this? Bavarian Bierhaus has a special brew for this event. It was a huge hit last year. Bells & Chains is St. Nikolausbockbier aged with light roasted oak and Bourbon (20 IBU, 9.3% ABV). And what better place to drink it than…
(4)…the new Bells & Chains Tavern! This outdoor pavilion bar is on the parade route and open 7-10pm. They’d have Bells & Chains, coffee and hot cocoa drinks, and Glühwein, a traditional warm mulled wine served traditionally in Germany around Christmastime. We’ll also have some games for you to play like bean bag toss aka Krampholio.
(5) Get your holiday photo at the Krampus Photo Booth. Get your picture taken at this station with members of Milwaukee Krampus Eigenheit, a group of costumed performers that participate in this and other events. This year we’ll have a volunteer snap photos for you on your phone. New profile pic!
(6) Get your holiday shopping done. We are very proud of our awesome vendor line-up this year for the Krampus Holiday Market, a good mix of people who were vendors at our first two events as well as new vendors. There’s a great mix of different crafts– original art, ceramics, jewelry, books, candles, ornaments, Krampuskarten, and much more. You can see the vendor line-up on this page: www.milwaukeeparacon.com/krampus
(7) Dance and do a sing-a-long with our music line-up. Here is our fantastic music line-up in the Beer Hall:
(8) Send your offspring to the Kid’s Krampus Hour. We have 10 tickets left for the Kid’s Hour, which includes a craft project, candy bag, entertainment, and KinderKrampus Parade. Parents can sit in or go check out the music and vendors. Tickets here: https://milwaukeekrampusnacht2019.brownpapertickets.com
(9) Bring a gift for the white elephant exchange. Bring a creepy cool gift (we suggest $5-$10 value, but the best gifts are priceless), wrap it up and bring it to the Beer Hall. You’ll see a table near the music stage. A volunteer will give you a ticket as proof that you dropped a gift off. At 9pm people can come through and pick up their mystery gift.
(10) Bring a donation for Toys for Tots. We are proud to do a drive again this year for Toys for Tots. Bring new, unwrapped toys. We’ll have donation bins right when you enter. We’ll also be raffling some gift baskets with monies raised being donated to Toys for Tots. Find out more about the organization here: https://www.toysfortots.org/
The American Science & Surplus Krampus Parade is an event highlight, and we’ve expanded our outdoor entertainment!
After the parade, gather near a bonfire and enjoy post-parade performances from drum and bugle corps Spielmanszug Milwaukee, a performance of the Witch’s Dance, and fire dancers! We’re calling this performance area the Brimstone Stage.
While waiting for the parade (or after), we have a great new option for you this year– The Bells & Chains Tavern. The bar is located in a pavilion in the beer garden near where the bonfire will be. Walk through the beer garden gates and keep walking, listen for a ringing bell– you won’t miss it.
The Bells & Chains Tavern will be open for business 7-10pm. They’ll be serving the namesake Bells & Chains, a “St. Nikolausbockbier aged with light roasted oak and Bourbon (20 IBU, 9.3% ABV) Specially made for Krampus celebration!” As well some hot drinks like coffee or hot cocoa (served with Bailey’s or Kahlua) and Glühwein, a traditional warm mulled wine served traditionally in Germany around Christmastime.
We’ll also have a couple games in the tavern set up– play a game of bean bag toss, or as we like to call it, Krampholio, as well as other fun games.
Mask by Stinky Goblin Emporium (they’ll be on the vendor floor!)
These fantastic t-shirts glow-in-the-dark and are just $15. They are available by pre-order or by very limited supply at the event. Pre-order is the only way to guarantee you’ll get your mitts on one! Pre-order link:https://squareup.com/market/milwaukee-para-con
After you pre-order, you’ll be able to pick up your shirts/ hoodies at the official merch table at Milwaukee Krampusnacht (we can also ship, e-mail milwaukeeparacon@gmail.com for details) Please note that buying shirts do not include event admission. Event tickets can be found here: milwaukeekrampusnacht2019.brownpapertickets.com
We will also have buttons, stickers, and posters at the event!
Hey bud! Tired after a long day of chasing screaming children? Those chains dragging you down? Well, we got a great place for you to kick up those hooves at the end of the day, right here at the Cream City Hostel. We’ve got affordable bunks for you to crash in after Krampusnacht whether you’re a Krampus or just someone enjoying the party. It’s a great option if you’re visiting town and want to head out Friday morning (or later in the weekend) instead of late Thursday night.
Accommodations range from private rooms to 12-bunk dorms– plenty of room for your entire Krampus pack.
We’re offering a 10% discount if you use the code Krampus on check out. This discount code is good for December 4th-8th in case you’re making Krampusnacht a mini-vacation. You can book here: creamcityhostel.com
Check-in starts at 3pm, plenty of time to get settled before heading over to Bavarian Bierhaus.
Our shared kitchen is a great place to get together to make a cauldron of eye of newt and spider soup…
…or just have a bowl of cereal.
Here’s some things Krampusnacht attendees will like:
-Locker space for each person in each room (and the staff is able to store larger items for you).
-Comfortable beds, each with their own light and outlet.
-We’re close to the Bavarian Bierhaus, about 4 miles/ 10 minute drive. If you don’t want to drive, join the bicycle Ride to Krampusnacht (CLICK HERE)– the hostel rents bikes on site. The number 15 bus goes from the hostel to the Bierhaus.
-Knowledgable staff of Krampus fans can direct you on places close by to get something to eat and other needs.
Hostel guests get free coffee or tea in the morning, just be careful not to burn your tongue!
Our facilities are so clean, you’d swear an angel stopped by.
Our cozy lounge is a great place to relax and socialize.
