Vendor of the Week 11: Kat Green

Kat Green is the alias of authors KAT de Falla and Rachel GREEN.

Rachel Green has always believed in ghosts but saw her first full body apparition while working at an old movie theater in college. When she met Kat de Falla at a writer’s workshop, she knew she’d met a kindred spirit – one who was also sensitive to the hereafter. And after bonding on a few ghost adventures, Kat Green was born.

Kat lived in a haunted house for too long. When things really heated up, she had several paranormal teams investigate, but things only got worse. When her mother suggested they contact a shaman, she agreed to come, saying she had been waiting for Kat’s call. The home was cleansed and sold. When she paired up with Rachel Green, the idea of co-writing a book with a paranormal real estate agent seemed perfect.

Sloane Osborne and the “Haunts for Sale” series was born.

Kristan T. Harris is a top traffic journalist for alternative news TV/talk radio program The Rundown Live. Harris has been featured on multiple national radio programs regarding his research into esoteric books, hidden history and secret societies.

Harris will present a compelling presentation of his extensive research of giant human skeletons. The investigation effort included using the Library of Congress database, local archaeological society records and historical documents – which resulted in unearthing over 1,000 American newspaper articles claiming to discover remains of giant human skeletons.

Many of these articles connect legitimate institutions, colleges and real scientists as well as local Indian effigy mounds. Harris has interviewed and collaborated with both skeptics and top researchers in the subject of giant humans and recently was acknowledged in Jim Vieira (History Channel’s In Search of the Lost Giants) and Hugh Newman’s (Ancient Aliens) recent book Giants on Record: America’s Hidden History, Secrets in the Mounds and the Smithsonian Files.

More Outer Con Announced–3rd Ward and Forest Home Cemetery tours!

We originally called these events “After Con” but “Outer Con” may or may not be a better term. These are fun and interesting things for you to do the weekend of the conference if you want a little extra experience. These events are endorsed by us, but most of them are organized by the groups hosting them, not the Milwaukee Paranormal Conference. Most of them have a very limited space, so buy ’em while they’re available.

Forest Home Cemetery Walking Tour, Sunday, Oct.16, 10:30am

Milwaukee Paranormal Conference has partnered with Forest Home Cemetery to offer a 90 minute walking tour the morning of Sunday, Oct.16, 10:30am-noon.

MKE Tour-4Forest Home, which held it’s first burial in 1850, is a 200 acre garden cemetery and the resting place of the most famous names in Milwaukee history, including beer barons, politicians, inventors, industrialists and other influential people.

This tour is just $6 and includes a souvenir booklet with a map of the cemetery and bios on some of the famous people there. This tour is limited to 30 people. If there is a strong interest, we may try to arrange a second tour time. Meet at 10:15 sharp outside the Forest Home Cemetery office. Please note that this is not a ghost tour or a paranormal investigation, but a historical tour of the cemetery and it’s famous residents.

Robert Giese: A Milwaukee history buff who has given tours with Historic Milwaukee for a number of years. He has written extensively about Milwaukee’s brewing families, most of them at Forest Home, and developed the Beer Barons tour as an extension of his research.

Bob has also developed a tour on Famous Milwaukeeans who helped create the industrial past and shaped Milwaukee industry and culture for the past 175 years. His Mayors tour is one of our newer tours. Forest Home Cemetery is the final resting place to 27 of Milwaukee’s 44 mayors.

Mary helped institute and develop one of the first Paranormal Studies Program in the country that is taught at an institute of higher education. As a paranormal educator and innovator she now teaches 3 different science and cultural based paranormal studies courses, as well as workshops at various colleges and institutions.

As a paranormal investigator and researcher with over 20 years experience, Mary is the founder and director of The Paranormal MD Investigations, a scientific and technology based group located in northwest Illinois. The Paranormal MD is not limited to ghosts & hauntings. We delve into all fields and aspects of paranormal phenomenon. Keeping in mind the process of the scientific method, we always try to test our theories, and search for and document any “cause and effect” relationships. Simply put, we look for correlations and document it.

As a radio personality, Mary produces and hosts her own talk radio show titled, The Paranormal MD which airs Thursday at 7pm CST. In the past, Mary has guest hosted and co-hosted a few different radio shows over time, other than her own. Her break into radio was as a co-host on a paranormal talk show at WLIP, an AM/FM radio station. She’s frequently a guest interview on other radio shows, too.
