My friends, if you are reading this and you did not get a ticket to Milwaukee Krampusnacht and are disappointed by this, let me say that we are sorry. 500 tickets were gone in just over 24 hours.
This is not only our first attempt to host a Krampusnacht, but the first serious effort to hold an event like this in Milwaukee. We were not sure what to expect. When we saw the numbers of interested people swell, we knew we would have to cap attendance to respect Lakefront Brewery’s capacity and to make it a comfortable experience for everyone. We simply can’t fit 100 pounds of Krampus into a 10 pound bag, as the saying goes.
Please know that next year we are definitely looking to expand into a bigger fest that will accommodate a larger crowd, more space and more vendors in a traditional German Christmas market set up. The parade will also be bigger.
If you did get tickets, you need to print tickets or show them on a mobile device at the door, where you will also pick up your stickers or candy totes if you got those options.
If you are a vendor, performer, or parade participant (we are now closed to new participants), you do not need a ticket.
We will post parade route info within the next week. Thank you all for your support. Milwaukee has spoken and the word on the street is WE WANT KRAMPUS!
Thank you for a great article, your advice will be very helpful for me.
