Monday, October 10 is the last day you can buy VIP tickets. After that, you will cry out for more opportunities to buy them, but they will fall on deaf ears as the VIP option will be closed!

Our VIP ticket is your best available con experience. It gives you an exclusive dinner party and swag tote bag, admission to the conference and Saturday night Raven’s Ball party. It also helps support the conference and our programming and is priced at just $75. Here’s more info on what you get:

VIP Dinner Party

Takes place Friday, October 14, 6pm at the Mitchell Park Pavilion on the Lagoon. Located in Mitchell Park, the pavilion is a lovely setting for a Fall dinner party. This is the same park that the Mitchell Park Conservatory (known as The Domes) is located in. The Domes are open (well, 2 out of 3) until 5pm, if you want to show up early for a stroll through their botanical gardens.

We have a wonderful food menu for this event, a mix of southern comfort food and street style eats. Tasty hors d’oeuvres, sausage paella, street tacos, and vegan options will be available. We will have assorted beers (including a seasonal), a red and white wine option, and Great Northern Distilling Rye Whiskey and bourbon Vanguard Whiskey as an after dinner drink. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Janet Schiff

Ticket holders are seated at a table that includes at least one or more guest speakers and we will have music provided by cellist Janet Schiff (part of the acclaimed music duo Nineteen Thirteen). You might find yourself at a table with an expert on cryptozoology, a ghostlore researcher, or a leading UFO investigator.

VIP Tote Bag

The tote bag will include your pass, which gets you into both days of the conference for free, your conference program, a pass to our Saturday night Raven’s Ball, and about two dozen swag items from our vendors, sponsors, and supporters. Includes magnets, stickers, buttons, a voodoo doll keychain, water bottle, copy of Fate magazine, bookmarks, coupons and download codes and more.

Let the Cello Lead You

Let the sounds of the cello lead you to our VIP dinner, a most unique soiree, taking place the evening of Friday, October 14 at the Mitchell Park Pavilion on the Lagoon (near the Domes). After arriving, you might find yourself seated next to a foremost authority on cryptozoology, someone who actively investigates UFO sightings, or members of a team that dedicated to capturing evidence that ghosts exist. It’s a chance to be social and enjoy dinner with Milwaukee Paranormal Conference speakers, behind the scenes staff, and your fellow VIPs. Food and drink will be provided, and you’ll be treated to a performance by acclaimed cellist Janet Schiff.

Janet creates music that is beautiful, rich, haunting, mixing old  (one of her cellos, made in Romania, is 103 years old) with new– electronic loopers allow her to layer her riffs. It gives her music an “enigmatic quality” as Milwaukee Paranormal Conference director Tea Krulos described when he profiled her band Nineteen Thirteen in a 2011 article. The other half of Nineteen Thirteen is the brilliant percussionist Victor DeLorenzo, founding member of Milwaukee’s favorite sons, the Violent Femmes.

We’re thrilled to be able to offer this intimate solo performance for our VIPs.

In addition to the dinner party, VIPs get into both days (Oct.15-16) of our conference at the UWM Student Union for free. Check out our updated schedule and start planning which talks, panels, and workshops you want to check out.

VIPs also get into our Raven’s Ball masquerade party for free. This is taking place Saturday night (Oct.15) after the conference at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center and features performances from Dead Man’s Carnival, Quasimondo theater, Sunspot, Gnarrenschiff and Tamarind Tribal Belly Dance, Subspace, and more. Con fans! Last year you blew us away with your response to our show. The feedback we got was more space, more amazing guest speakers, more days, more everything! We couldn’t have agreed more on said more! The 2016 Milwaukee Paranormal Conference WILL feature more everything, but that also means a much bigger investment for us. VIP tickets to the Milwaukee Paranormal Conference are going to be a key element of our fundraising. We have 100 VIP tickets available, when they’re gone, that’s it!
You not only get admission to both conference days (Sat. Oct. 15 and Sun. Oct. 16 at the UWM Campus) but you get a lot of added perks with the VIP ticket:

Our VIP dinner party will take place the evening of Friday, October 14, the night before the conference, from 5:30-8pm.

We’re happy to announce the venue for our VIP dinner party, which will be the Mitchell Park Pavilion on the Lagoon (524 Layton Boulevard.). Mitchell Park will be a nice place for you to take an autumn stroll before dinner, if you choose, or visit the iconic Mitchell Park Domes, which have been closed due to structural damage, although the Show Dome is anticipated to reopen soon.

Our venue is a nice pavilion located right on Mitchell Park’s lagoon. We’re still working on a menu, but it will include vegetarian and vegan options. We will have alcohol and non-alcohol beverages available. We will give you a short presentation on the conference and there will be a special performance renowned cellist and composer Janet Schiff (of the amazing group Nineteen Thirteen.)

Guest speakers are all invited (but that doesn’t guarantee all will be there) to the dinner party and will be divided up so we have at least one guest speaker (and probably more than one) at each table. We will also be having a party at a local bar after the dinner, which will be open to VIPs, other con attendees, and the general public. That venue is yet to be determined.

Tote Bag

The cloth tote bag will feature our 2016 logo screened on the side and will contain your VIP pass, a conference program, and we’ve given our vendors and sponsors the option to include swag to stuff into these limited edition (only 100) bags. For example, one vendor is providing us with 100 magnets, another is having stickers made. We’re also hoping to include coupons, postcards, and whatever else shows up! Inside, you’ll also find your conference program.

The Raven’s Masquerade Ball

Our big bash is going to take place Saturday night after the conference. The venue and entertainment is TBA, but will feature music, performance, and a costume contest (in several categories).
