Kid’s Krampus Hour
Milwaukee Krampusnacht is all about having fun! We’re glad to announce some returning favorite activities, and a new one, too.
Kid’s Krampus Hour is back this year. Tickets are limited (however, if demand is strong enough, we might add a second session). Your ticket gets your kiddo in to create a craft project (a mask). St. Nick and Krampus visit the kids to hand out candy bags and then the kids have a short KinderKrampus Parade through the Bierhaus.
Adults, you need to have your own General Admission ticket to attend. You’re welcome to hang out with your child for the hour, or you can drop them off and go check out our vendor floor or the live music going on in the beer hall. Kid’s Krampus Hour takes place in the Bavarian Bierhaus’s Weinstubbe room, downstairs. When you walk in the front door, you’ll see a stairwell going downstairs. Our volunteers at the registration table can point it out.
White Elephant Gift Exchange
This has become a Krampusnacht favorite tradition. Bring a wrapped gift, we recommend it be something strange, eerie, creepy somewhere in the $10-15 range. Bring your gift into the main Beer Hall room. Next to the stage, you’ll see a table set up. There will be a volunteer there that will give you a ticket that acts as proof that you delivered a gift. The table is open 4-8pm. At 8pm, you can pick up a gift (don’t choose your own!). If you need to leave before 8, just talk to the volunteer.
Krampusnacht Scavenger Hunt
New activity! The Krampusnacht Scavenger Hunt runs 4-10pm. Stop by our registration table in the front entrance. It costs $1 to participate (that money will be donated to Toys for Tots, see below). You will be given a sheet with clues of 10 things you need to take a picture of at Krampusnacht. Post your pics on social media with the hashtag #MKEkrampusnacht21 and we will pick 5 random winners for a cool gift bag! This is the prototype year for this, if people enjoy participating in it. we’ll expand it in the future.
Toys for Tots drive/raffle
This will be our third year supporting the Marines Toys for Tots Program, which delivers gifts to families in need. Bring an unwrapped new toy to donate. We also will be selling $1 raffle tickets for a basket filled with cool stuff donated by our vendors. 100% of raffle ticket sales (and scavenger hunt entries) will be donated to Toys for Tots.
We’d also like to suggest shopping local at American Science & Surplus for white elephant and Toys for Tots. They are an event sponsor for the third year in a row and also probably the coolest store in Milwaukee.
As we said, Milwaukee Krampusnacht is about having fun, and it’s also about sharing. Be good to each other!
